Instructor Development Course

Become a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and take your career anywhere. When was the last time you said, "I love my job!"? Go PRO and you'll be saying it all the time.

We combined the Assistant Instructor course with the Instructor course to make one big Instructor Development Course, which allows you to teach as soon as you've finished your exam.

The IDC is unlike other PADI courses, as there is an Instructor Evaluation hosted by PADI at the end. The IDC is designed to completely prepare you for your Instructor Evaluation

The Ocean Pro Difference

100% AWARE

We are partnered with Project AWARE, a global non-profit organization that is Protecting Our Ocean Planet - One Dive at a Time. They are focused on the critical issues of Sharks in Peril and Marine Debris, and we're supporting

them by donating $10 for every student we certify.

Learning Materials Included

Most shops advertise a nice low price for their Instructor course. A low price always looks good, but in this case low prices are full of hidden fees. Most shops don't include any of the learning materials in the Instructor price. We don't agree with that, so we make sure all learning materials you need are included.

Free Air

During your Instructor course we want you to gain experience as a diver so we encourage you  to go out diving as much as possible. To  help you do that, for the duration of the course we fill your tanks with air for free!

We Hire Our Instructor Candidates

Every person we train to be a Instructor, we train so that we're happy to hire  them at  the end of the course. This means we go above and beyond the minimum requirements because we want all our staff to be the best they can be.

Lots of Instructors, Lots of Experience

We have over 20 Instructors and Divemaster on our staffing team, and we will ensure you get to work with most of them. That means you'll be learning from a wealth of different experiences and knowledge bases. Many of our instructors have been teaching for 15+ years, so you'll be sure to get extra knowledge from vast experience.

Low Ratios

We keep our student to instructional staff ratios low to ensure you can progress a pace that is comfortable for you. We keep our numbers to a max of four students to one instructor or less.
