So much fun! Imagine jumping into to a bouncy castle filled with 100 labrador puppy dogs and you have an idea of what it is like to dive with interactive sea lions. Hornby Island offers great diving, outstanding scenery, healthy food and comfortable accommodation - all right here in British Columbia. Below is a sample itinerary - the dive sites listed represent some of the variety we explore, however, specific sites will be determined based on daily conditions. Our goal is to ensure you enjoy quality diving at the best possible site each day.
|Day 1||Enjoy the spectacular scenery on Vancouver Island as you make your way to Hornby Island. You can check in anytime after 3pm - just in time for a late afternoon shore dive! Dinner will be followed by a dive orientation.|
|Day 2||We start our diving today! After a hearty breakfast of eggs, toast, bacon or maybe some pancakes - we head down to the boat for a quick 5 minute ride out to the dive sites. At least one dive today will be done with the Sealions! Other sites include Maude Reef, Dinner Plate, Toby Islet or Norris Wall. Our morning dive is followed by a hot lunch at the lodge and maybe a quick sauna. Then it is back out for a second dive filled with great sea life. After our dives - you may choose to take a tour of the local meadery or maybe the vodka distillery. For those planning a night dive, a better option is a hike out at beautiful Helliwell Park. Or, you can always curl up in the lounge with a book for a quiet afternoon. The evening shore dive is a great way to see how the reef changes in the dark. We follow it with a healthy dinner and some stories about our day of diving.|
|Day 3||Today looks an awful lot like yesterday. Two great dives with more amazing meals. After lunch, we sadly have to make our way to the ferry to return home - but don't worry .... we know you will be back!|
This trip is for all levels of divers. Night dives are only available to divers with previous night experience. If you aren't qualified ... ask us about taking a course to get your Advanced certification. We strongly recommend you dive in a Dry Suit for this trip.
Our normal trip payment and cancellation policy will apply.
