IDC Staff Instructor

As a seasoned PADI Instructor, you have wisdom and experience to share with up-and-coming PADI leaders. And, you know that continuing your education never ends.

In this course:

  • You become a master of instructor-level dive theory, knowledge development teaching presentations and confined water teaching presentations
  • You audit a complete IDC as a staff member rather than as a student

You will also need to attend both the Assistant Instructor and Instructor Level sessions for the Instructor Development Course.


Course Curriculum

Before the Program Begins

When you sign up for the course, we'll make arrangements for you to come into the store for an orientation and to pick up your student package. We encourage you to pick up your student package at least 14 days before your course begins as you will want to complete the learning material prior to your first classroom session.


What gear will you need?

We Provide:
  • Expert instruction from our team of PADI Instructors
  • Air and tank fills for your training dives
  • Unlimited access to our pool for practice sessions and skill development during your program
You Supply:
  • As a professional, you are expected to provide a full scuba kit in accordance with PADI standards
  • Course material is an additional cost for all professional level programs. Required materials include:
    • Course Director Manual
    • Open Water Evaluation Slate
    • Confined Water Evaluation Slate
  • Not included in the course are IDC Staff application fees payable to PADI upon course completion.

Course Prerequisites

  • a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer
  • at least 18 years old
